German Bundesliga transfer market expert Florian Plettenberg reports that Eintracht Frankfurt is set to sign Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi in the upcoming January transfer window. The move comes as a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani, who recently transferred to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sky Deutschland, Eintracht Frankfurt has secured a club-to-club agreement with Viktoria Plzen for Durosinmi, who is expected to sign a contract until 2028. The transfer is estimated to cost Frankfurt between seven and eight million euros for the 20-year-old center forward.
Despite interest from Premier League club Brighton & Hove, Durosinmi, standing at 6 feet 4 inches, expresses a strong desire to join Eintracht Frankfurt. His impressive record of nine goals and six assists in nineteen matches this season, along with comparisons to former Arsenal strikers Nwankwo Kanu and Emmanuel Adebayor, adds to the anticipation surrounding his move.
Eintracht Frankfurt had also considered Nigerian striker Gift Orban, but negotiations have stalled due to Gent's asking price for the 2023 Super Eagles invitee.
