Tottenham Hotspur's new manager, Ange Postecoglou, has revealed the list of players who will join the team on their pre-season Asia-Pacific Tour.
Among the chosen group is Destiny Udogie, an Italian U21 defender with Nigerian heritage, who could potentially make his unofficial debut for the club during this tour.
The squad will embark on their journey to Perth, Australia, on Friday evening.
Unfortunately, promising striker Damola Ajayi did not make the roster, despite training with the first team players earlier in the week at Hotspur Way.
However, thirty-one players have been selected for the tour, including notable names like Harry Kane and Davinson Sanchez, despite ongoing speculation about their futures at the club.
Udogie will be competing with Ben Davies for the left-back position, as both players are traveling with the team.
However, Ryan Sessegnon will not be joining them due to injury. The club announced through their official website that Udogie has been assigned the squad number 73 for the duration of the tour.
However, they also mentioned that this number might not be his final squad number for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
Having completed his loan spell at Udinese last season, the Italian-Nigerian wonderkid, Udogie, reported for pre-season training on Wednesday and participated in his first training session with the team.
Tottenham's first pre-season game is scheduled against West Ham United on Tuesday, July 18.
Following that, they will face Leicester City in Thailand on Sunday, July 23, and Lion City Sailors in Singapore on Wednesday, July 26.
