Tottenham coach impressed by Udogie, no guarantees

During a press conference before Tottenham Hotspur's friendly against Lion City Sailors at the Singapore Festival of Football, manager Ange Postecoglou expressed his admiration for Destiny Udogie, an Italy U21 international of Nigerian descent who joined Tottenham last summer but was loaned back to Udinese to gain more first-team experience.
Udogie's performance in training and a friendly against West Ham United, where he scored just 24 minutes into his debut off the bench, caught the manager's eye.
Despite recognizing the young defender's potential, Postecoglou refrained from making any promises about his game time in the upcoming season.
Primarily a left wing-back, Udogie faces competition in Postecoglou's preferred 4-3-3 formation. To secure a starting spot, he must prove his versatility by showcasing his skills as a left-back during pre-season preparations.
Postecoglou emphasized that he cannot foresee anyone's game time at this stage, not just for Udogie but for any player in the squad.
The manager commended the adjustment of several young talents, including Udogie, who are aged 20 to 21 and showing promising development.
Udogie could have made his full debut for Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly against Leicester City, but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
As the season progresses, Udogie will have the chance to demonstrate his abilities and potentially secure a spot in the starting lineup, impressing the manager and proving himself at the highest level.
