Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has downplayed injury worries for defender Destiny Udogie, who was substituted in the 55th minute of Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Fulham on Monday night.
Udogie was replaced by Emerson Royal with Tottenham leading 2-0. The 20-year-old had been active in the game before his substitution, but Postecoglou said he simply felt tired at half-time.
"We said we'd give it 10, 15 minutes," Postecoglou said after the match. "Again, short turnaround, once we got the second goal it made sense to take him off."
Udogie played a combined 74 minutes for Italy in their UEFA European Championship qualifiers against Malta and England during the recent international break, which may have contributed to his fatigue.
Postecoglou expects Udogie to be back to full fitness ahead of Tottenham's next match against Crystal Palace on matchday 10 of the Premier League on Friday.
