Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan have been informed about the transfer fee for George Ilenikhena, the Royal Antwerp striker who made history as the youngest Nigerian to score in the UEFA Champions League last December, aged 17 years and 119 days, surpassing Obafemi Martins' record.
Reportedly, Royal Antwerp is willing to sell Ilenikhena to raise funds for their summer plans and has set the asking price at €20 million for interested clubs, as per Voetbalkrant.
Tottenham is particularly interested in Ilenikhena as they aim to strengthen their striker options in the upcoming transfer window, having yet to replace Harry Kane, while Inter Milan is also in the race for his signature.
With Brazil's Richarlison primarily occupying the center-forward role for Spurs and Heung Min Son often deployed on the left wing, the addition of a new striker is a priority for the club, making Ilenikhena an attractive prospect after his impressive performances in Belgium.
However, competition is expected from Inter Milan, led by manager Mark van Bommel, who has mostly favored Vincent Janssen over Ilenikhena, resulting in limited playing time for the young striker in the Belgian league this season.
Given his aspirations and potential, Ilenikhena might consider a move away from Royal Antwerp to secure more regular playing time and further his career, especially with the attention from top European clubs like Tottenham and Inter Milan.
