Top Bundesliga clubs target Sancho in winter transfer to Manchester United

Jadon Sancho, the Manchester United winger, is a focal point in the transfer market, attracting interest from multiple clubs ahead of the January transfer window.


Bundesliga's Bayer Leverkusen, leading in their league, is a key player in this scenario, considering Sancho as a potential addition to their squad, according to Football Transfers. Sancho's situation at Manchester United has been tumultuous, having been excluded from the squad for months following a public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag in September.

This disagreement intensified after Ten Hag criticized Sancho's training performances, prompting a social media response from Sancho, exacerbating the rift. Consequently, Sancho has been excluded from training with the first team, denied access to facilities and the canteen, and reportedly removed from the team's WhatsApp group.


Facing this predicament, Manchester United has placed Sancho on the transfer list. Despite his contract with the club running until 2027, his challenging tenure—marked by 12 goals in 82 appearances—has led United to explore options, including selling Sancho or potentially releasing him from his contract next year.


Various clubs are linked with Sancho, such as his former club Borussia Dortmund, Serie A and Saudi clubs like Juventus, and Bundesliga teams RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, and Bayer Leverkusen. Leipzig is reportedly interested in a loan agreement with an option to buy, while Leverkusen, leading the Bundesliga, views Sancho as a versatile offensive addition. However, Leverkusen's interest is somewhat tentative due to Sancho's high salary, a potential stumbling block in any deal.
