Title: NPFL mgt. releases 2023/24 season's fixtures amidst interesting encounter

In what could be regarded as renewed battle from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Playoff of the 2022/2023 Super Six, the 2023/2024 fixtures has once again pitched the last gladiators against themselves.

Africa Sport Network (ASN) reports that four of the six teams that played the NPFL Super six in Lagos will have a first date again in the opening fixtures of the league in what could be best regarded to as a renewed rivalries.

The defending champions of NPFL, Enyimba International FC after the disappointing CAF Champions League exit will have a date with the leaders of the Group A Abridged league, Bendel Insurance in the opening fixture of the 2023/2024 season.

Also last season's  runners-up, Remo Stars will renew the Super six finals hostility in a tricky trip to Port Harcourt to face Rivers United.

Shooting Stars are also drawn against Plateau United in Ibadan in an exact repeat of the Abridged 2022/2023 season's opener of Group A fixtures.

Bayelsa United will lock horns with Akwa United in a south-south derby while Abia Warriors host Niger Tornadoes.

Debutant Sporting Lagos have a home advantage fixtures against Gombe United while NPFL returnee, Heartland FC of Owerri will attempt to overun Lobi Stars of Markurdi.

Katsina United will host Kwara United while Sunshine Stars will trade tackles with Kano Pillars in Akure.

Doma united will be the guests of Rangers FC in Enugu.

NPFL management has said that Propel sports Africa would televise matches in selected venues across the nation.

The season will Kickstart by Sept. 9.
