Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke is recovering faster than expected from his hamstring injury, offering a significant boost to Sevilla’s 2024-25 season.
Ejuke, who was still adjusting to his new life in Spain, suffered the injury during a La Liga match against Barcelona.

At first, it was reported that the Nigerian international might be out for an extended period and would require surgery to speed up his recovery.
However, recent updates suggest that Ejuke is on track to avoid surgery, with a much shorter recovery time than initially anticipated.
Instead of being sidelined for months, the 26-year-old is now expected to return to action in just four to six weeks, potentially in time for the busy holiday schedule when Sevilla faces a packed fixture list.
Although Ejuke’s return is still a few weeks away, the revised recovery timeline is far less serious than initially feared. His absence will be brief, and his recovery is progressing well, providing a timely reinforcement for García Pimienta’s squad.
Despite scoring just once in nine appearances for Sevilla, Ejuke’s influence extends beyond goals, with his contributions to the team’s playmaking and overall attacking strategy being invaluable.
