The stage is set for a Super Sunday clash as the Elephants meet in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 11 fixture between the hosts, Enyimba International FC, and league leaders, Remo Stars FC in Aba.

Both sides will have the chance to test their strength and settle unfinished business on Sunday, with the coach of the nine-time league champions, Enyimba International, expressing confidence in a win for his team.

Enyimba’s coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, stated that his team is preparing for victory against Remo Stars to bring joy to their fans.

The People's Elephant will face the Ikenne-based side on Sunday at Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, in this Match Day 11 NPFL encounter.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash between the 3rd and 2nd placed teams on the NPFL table, Olanrewaju expressed hope that his CHAN Eagles invitees would be available, providing a boost for the team.

"We know the importance of playing Remo Stars, who are a tough and top club. It’s almost like a derby.

"Our games with them are always very tough, though they’ve had an edge over us for the past season and a half.

"But it's our home game. We want to enjoy the game and go for maximum points. We know it’s going to be a tough battle.

"We’ll give them the respect they deserve as a top team, and they’ll respect us too, but on the pitch, we know what’s at stake for us as a club, so we have to go for it.

"Regarding the players with the national team, we’re hopeful they’ll be back for the weekend, even though we have one or two injuries to some key players.

"But we’ll work with what we have, and what’s available is enough to get the job done. So, we hope for a good game on Sunday to make everyone happy – that’s the focus."
