Super Eagles player rejoices in triumph for Championship title

Nathan Tella, the promising 23-year-old winger and Super Eagles prospect, took to Instagram to express his elation as Burnley clinched the Championship title.
Sharing a captivating photo of the Burnley team hoisting the trophy, Tella captioned it with "Unbelievable. Champions."
Throughout the season, Tella played a crucial role in Burnley's triumphant campaign, consistently delivering impressive performances.
Although he was sidelined due to injury in the match against Blackburn, Tella's contributions were instrumental in Burnley's overall success.
In a thrilling encounter against their Lancashire rivals, Blackburn, Burnley secured the Championship title with a remarkable victory, propelled by Manuel Benson's decisive goal in the second half.
With a commanding 13-point lead over second-placed Sheffield United, Burnley sealed their well-deserved championship status with two games to spare.
This achievement holds significant value, especially considering their relegation from the top flight in the previous season.
As a result of their promotion, the Clarets will compete in the English Premier League next season.
Tella's remarkable impact on Burnley's success earned him a place in the Championship team of the season, narrowly missing out on the Player of the Season award to Middlesbrough's Chuba Akpom.
During his loan spell from Southampton, Tella made 38 league appearances for Burnley, showcasing his skills by scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
Undoubtedly, Tella's stellar performances in the Championship have caught the attention of Nigerian national team selectors, positioning him as a potential future star for the Super Eagles.
While Tella's future remains uncertain, he still has two years remaining on his contract with Southampton, which he signed in January 2022.
Burnley will undoubtedly be keen to retain his services, but several other clubs may have him on their radar as well.
However, if Southampton also faces relegation to the Championship, they might be tempted to keep hold of the impressive Tella, given his versatility to play anywhere across the front line.
