Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored in Leicester City's 2-0 victory against Stoke City, contributing to the team's remarkable start in the Championship.
Leicester City's coach, Enzo Maresca, included Kelechi Iheanacho in the starting lineup after the striker had limited playtime in the previous two games, yet managed to score in both matches.
Iheanacho proved his worth at the King Power Stadium by netting the first goal in the 25th minute. The Foxes displayed patient build-up play, swiftly breaking through the Potters' defense.
Leicester's in-form midfielder, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, provided a precise through-ball to Iheanacho, who wasted no time in finding the back of the net, putting his team in the lead.
Iheanacho played for 77 minutes before being replaced by Jamie Vardy, with Wilfred Ndidi also entering the game. The substitutes collaborated for the second goal, securing a victory for the Foxes.
Just two minutes after coming on, Ndidi's excellent pass set up Vardy, who scored his fourth goal in the last six games, sealing the victory.
Under Maresca's guidance, Leicester City has accumulated thirty points in the first eleven games, setting a record for the best start in the Sky Bet Championships. The Italian coach continues to shape and propel his team towards top-flight football.
Super Eagles duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, will join the Nigerian national team at their training camp in Faro, Portugal, in preparation for upcoming friendlies against Mozambique and Saudi Arabia.
