Super Eagles' Bassey sends message to injured Arsenal's Timber

Super Eagles center-back Calvin Bassey has displayed his solidarity with Jurrien Timber, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee while playing for Arsenal. 

Bassey and Timber have a shared history, having spent a season together at Ajax Amsterdam. Upon learning about Timber's injury, Bassey sent a sympathizing message to the Arsenal defender via Instagram, where he commented with a heart emoji on Timber's post expressing his disappointment.

Timber sustained the injury during Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on the Premier League's opening day. 

The injury prompted Timber's substitution by Takehiro Tomiyasu in the second half, and it was later confirmed that he would require surgery and face a period of rehabilitation. 

Bassey's support is just one of the many warm wishes Timber has received from fans, as well as present and former teammates, demonstrating the football community's solidarity in such situations.
