The inclusion of midfielder Seth Mayi in the NPFL Match Day Four has been commended by the president of Sunshine Stars Football Club, Bamidele Ologunloluwa.
Ologunloluwa also lauded Sunshine Stars' Technical Adviser, Kennedy Boboye, who was selected as Coach of the Week.
The club boss congratulated the duo and urged them to further improve their performance, noting that this is just the beginning of new things in the club.
The Chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency urged both the coach and the player to see their selections as a call for better performances.
"I congratulate the Sunshine Stars players on this great achievement, as I am confident that many of them will still win something bigger.
"Let us remain focused on the tasks ahead; we are not there yet, but I am sure that with sincerity of purpose and teamwork, we shall achieve our targets this season.
"Seth and Coach Boboye would not have achieved this feat without the support of the entire team."
Ologunloluwa urged the team to continue putting in more effort to achieve the desired results, stating that "the reward for hard work is more work!"
Seth Mayi was selected based on his outstanding performance in Sunshine Stars' 2-1 defeat of Akwa United at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, where he contributed a goal and an assist.
Kennedy Boboye made the cut as one of the coaches whose teams won away from their home grounds.
