On Monday, the Head Coach of Sunshine Stars FC, Akure Edith Agoye, praised his team for a 2-0 away win over the Nigeria Tornadoes in Minna.
The coach commended his players for a job well done.
”My players showed a high level of incredible determination in today’s game, and that’s why we won convincingly," he said.
The away win means Sunshine Stars FC has 24 points from 16 matches to occupy the 4th position with a game in hand against Rivers United.
Sunshine Stars will play their round-of-32 tie in the FA Cup against FC Kaduna at the Lokoja township stadium on Wednesday.
Sunshine Stars scored their first goal against Niger Tornadoes in the 42nd minute after perfect team play from midfield to the attack as Vincent Temitope launched to give a square pass to Yusuf Ibrahim.
Immediately, star number 9 perfectly gave an assist to David Onovo. The sensation wasted no time in slotting home the opener for the Sunshine Stars.
