Jorgen Strand Larsen was the hero for Wolverhampton Wanderers as his late strike secured a 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town, marking the club’s third consecutive Premier League win. The result was crucial in their fight for survival, with the match played at Portman Road on Saturday against a fellow relegation-threatened side.
Ipswich had the stronger start, with Liam Delap giving them an early advantage in the 16th minute. The young forward capitalised on an opening inside the box and slotted the ball through the legs of Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa to give the hosts a deserved lead.
Wolves showed resilience after the break and found their rhythm in the second half. Substitute Pablo Sarabia levelled the score with a composed finish from the edge of the area, following a neat setup from Strand Larsen.
The Norwegian forward then completed the comeback in the 84th minute by tapping in the winner, lifting Wolves to 32 points and leaving them 12 points clear of Ipswich, who remain in the relegation zone with seven games remaining.
