Star Match: Can Sunshine run away with the last slot in Group B with a win against Dakkada Utd?

A win is all what Sunshine Stars FC of Akure needed to secure the last slot for the Super 6 of the Group B standings of the Abridged 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as they face already relegated Dakkada FC in season’s closing match scheduled for Akure Township Stadium.

The Akure Gunners will be a surprise inclusion given that the club did not look like a club to earn a place in the Super 6 save the sloppy defeats suffered by the last occupiers of the slots, Abia Warriors and Doma United.

Sunshine Stars currently are 24 points and a win against Dakkada who have nothing to fight for having relegated already will see them on 27 points three points short of Lobi Stars who have already booked a place in the Super 6 with 30 points.

A win for Sunshine Stars will definitely break the heart of Doma United a team that the book makers have already tipped to qualify for the Super 6.
