St George's impeccable BetKing Ethiopian Premier League winning streak came to a halt on Friday as they settled for a 2-2 draw with Adama City. Meanwhile, newly promoted sides Hambericho Durame and Hadiya Hossana continued their struggle to secure a victory this season, with both teams enduring a winless streak that now spans four games, ending in a goalless draw.
Adama City wasted no time in opening their goal account, with former St George star Hayder Sherafa giving them a 1-0 advantage just 12 minutes into the match. The second half witnessed a thrilling turn of events, as Adama extended their lead to 2-0 with William Solomon finding the net in the 54th minute.
St George, determined not to be outdone, fought back and managed to narrow the deficit 11 minutes later when Tegenu Teshome scored in the 65th minute. 'The Horsemen' relentlessly pursued an equalizer, while Adama City aimed to secure the win, but it was St George who ultimately succeeded. In the 82nd minute, Moses Odo scored the equalizing goal, rescuing a valuable point for his team.
