Sporting Lagos FC beatable says Tornadoes

The Ikon Allah Boys will face NPFL debutants Sporting Lagos in this weekend's Match Day 5 encounter scheduled for Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly Onikan Stadium in Lagos on Sunday.

Tornadoes are aiming to secure their first points on the road this season, having narrowly suffered two close defeats in Umuahia and Awka, losing 1-0 and 2-1 to Abia Warriors and Rangers, respectively.

The hosts for this weekend, Sporting Lagos, have not won in three games, with two draws and a defeat. Their last home game ended in a draw against Doma United.

Niger Tornadoes are looking to capitalize on an impressive home record with two wins out of two, while seeking to earn an away point to improve their position in the league standings.

This marks the first official meeting between the two teams.

Sporting Lagos currently occupy the eleventh position in the standings with 5 points from four matches, while Niger Tornadoes have climbed to seventh place with 6 points after four games.

Akintunde Azeez and Adewale Lasisi have both recovered from injuries that sidelined them since the start of the season and are available for selection, while last weekend's goal scorer, Yahuza Bala, retains his place in the lineup.
