The noisy Sporting Lagos FC returned to winning ways on Sunday after enduring an unwanted streak of three winless league matches, which began with a defeat against Lobi Stars FC in the Match Day 8 NPFL fixtures where they lost by a lone goal.
The Tech Boys then played to a 1-1 draw against Heartland FC in the match held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Following that, the Tech Boys suffered another 0-1 loss against Sunshine Stars FC on Match Day 9.
For Match Day 11, it was Clement Naantuam, who had just returned from injury, claiming the much-needed three points for his team.
Naantuam danced through the Katsina defense and found the bottom corner in a classical finish.
The results now place Sporting Lagos FC in the middle of the pack, standing in 10th place with 15 points.
Naantuam, on the sidelines of the match, expressed his excitement to return to the pitch after a few months of layoff.
"I am happy to be back and also happy to help my team pick up maximum points against Katsina United FC. It was a beautiful game that I cherished so much, and I also thank my team for their support," he said.
