In a pre-season game held at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over Leeds United, with Shola Shoretire and Maxi Oyedele both involved in the match.
Shoretire, a 19-year-old player of English and Nigerian descent, made his appearance in the second half as part of the substitutions made by the Red Devils.
He showcased his talent and skill with some impressive touches throughout the game, although he didn't directly contribute to any of the goals.
The breakthrough came in the 67th minute when Noam Emeran capitalized on a through ball and found the back of the net, giving Manchester United the lead. Joe Hugill sealed the victory for Erik Ten Hag's team in the 81st minute with an assist from Emeran.
Shoretire, who had a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers in the second half of the previous season, was surely pleased to be included in Manchester United's pre-season plans.
As for Oyedele, he didn't feature in the game but will be hoping for an opportunity to impress manager Erik Ten Hag in upcoming matches.
Next on their pre-season schedule, the Red Devils will face Lyon, a team from the French Ligue 1, at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on July 19.
