After witnessing their team win just one game out of four matches, the Gbenga Ogunbote-coached Shooting Stars are now left with no choice but to aim for an outstanding victory when they face Plateau United in Lafia for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 21.
The Oluyole Warriors had a challenging time in Lagos as they succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against the defending champions, Enyimba International FC, on NPFL Match Day 20 in Aba.
Following the loss to Enyimba International, the Oluyole Warriors dropped to the 12th position, and facing Plateau United, especially with one of the most in-form strikers, Albert Hilary, will be a daunting task for them.
Hilary has maintained consistency since the start of the season and found the target when the Jos-based side defeated Lobi Stars.
It is also worth noting that Plateau United has yet to drop points at home in the NPFL this season, and the Peace Boys currently occupy the fourth position on the table.
Head to head:
Plateau United and Shooting Stars have played nine matches, with Plateau United winning three and three ending in ties.
