SEWFL: Heartland Queens humiliate Immaculate FC 5-0

Adekemi Adenikan was on fire for Heartland Queens as she marks her debut with an impressive performance which produced 4 goals out of the 5 - 0 crushing of Immaculate FC at the ongoing South East Women football league tournament.


Adekemi who has the record for the fastest goal of the tournament scored the first goal with her second touch just 30 seconds after the kick off whistle. 

Adekemi got her brace 5 mins later to increase the tally for the Owerri landladies. 

The Queens pressed and Adekemi made it a hat-tric in the 21st minute to extend the lead for the Queens. 

Kemi took a brake from scoring as Bright Nnaji finished off a rebound ball with a blistering shot from close range in the 27th minute of play to keep the score out of reach for Immaculate FC. 

Adekemi seemed not to have her feel of scoring on the day as she wrapped up the final goal in the 40th minute to seal the win for Heartland Queens. 

Onwa babes now maintain the top position with 13 points and 15 goals, while First Mahi babes are runner ups with 10 points and 9 goals. 

Heartland Queens having qualified for the semi finals before this encounter will now meet the second position in Group A, Awka Angels, while First Mahi Babes will battle Imo strikers Queen in epic semi final clash.
