Sergino Dest releases motivational video while on loan at Milan

In the midst of his exile at AC Milan, Sergino Dest, a USMNT player on loan from Barcelona, tweeted a video with the inspirational phrase "adversity creates character."

The full-back, who had struggled to get into Xavi's starting eleven at Camp Nou, signed a loan agreement with Milan with a buy option of €20 million (£18 million/$22 million) last summer.

His time in Italy, however, turned out to be a complete failure because he hasn't appeared for the Rossoneri since January.

Dest posted a video on social media in which he is shown pushing himself to the maximum while exercising and performing ball exercises, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.

In spite of his limited playing time at San Siro, he titled the video "Adversity Builds Character" to show that he is not giving up anytime soon.

Dest has played for the Serie A powerhouse in just 14 games, yet he was given permission to journey across the Atlantic to represent the USMNT in a friendly against Mexico.

Since he wasn't in Milan's Champions League roster, this occurred as they were getting ready for the second leg of their quarterfinal match against Napoli.

Barcelona is reportedly not interested in bringing the full-back back, and there are rumors that West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in bringing the USMNT standout to England.

Dest's prospects of staying with Milan or going back to Barcelona are slim, thus he may be moving on to a new team when the transfer market opens.
