Saudi Pro League: Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Twice as Al Nassr Destroys Al Adalah
Posted : 16 April 2023
Tuesday's 5-0 demolition of Al Adalah by Al Nassr, led by two goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, increased the pressure on the team in first place in the Saudi Pro League.
Five minutes before halftime, Ronaldo, who is 38 years old, gave the goalie no chance by drilling a penalty into the bottom corner to start the scoring for the visitors.
Ronaldo scored again in the 66th minute, this time with a trademark low drive into the far corner after receiving the ball on the left and dribbling past a defender.
After that, the Brazilian Anderson Talisca scored twice before Ayman Ahmed completed the scoring in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
With just a point separating the two clubs, the victory keeps Al Nassr, which is now in second position, ahead of leaders Al Ittihad, who triumphed 3-0 on Tuesday.
Ronaldo has scored 11 goals in nine league games for Al Nassr since joining at the end of December after leaving Manchester United.
In Portugal's first two Euro 2024 qualifiers last month, the forward who has played for Real Madrid and Juventus also scored four goals.
