According to reliable sources like Fabrizio Romano, Roberto Firmino, who recently left Liverpool after an eight-year stint, has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with Al Ahly. Additionally, Marcelo Brozovic, who played for Inter and was part of the team that reached the Champions League final against Manchester City, is expected to join Al Nassr alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Saudi league continues to attract renowned footballers, particularly those who are approaching the latter stages of their careers and seek financial gains before retirement. Firmino's move to Al Ahly appears to be imminent as the Brazilian forward and the club have reached a complete agreement.
The 31-year-old is likely to undergo medical examinations before signing a two-year deal. Firmino had a successful tenure at Liverpool, scoring 111 goals and providing 55 assists in 342 appearances across all competitions.
On the other hand, Brozovic initially declined the opportunity to join Al Nassr despite their offer of €20 million per season. However, reports indicate that the Saudi club increased their proposal to €25 million annually, leading the Croatian midfielder to reconsider.
Brozovic has had a fruitful career at Inter Milan, winning various domestic titles during his eight years with the club. Inter Milan is open to selling the player, with Davide Fratzi from Sassuolo being considered as a potential replacement. Al Nassr would need to pay a transfer fee of €23 million to complete the signing of Brozovic.
These developments suggest that both Firmino and Brozovic are on the verge of embarking on new chapters in their careers, as they seek fresh challenges and opportunities in the Saudi league.
