Saudi Arabia offers Messi twice as much as Ronaldo at Al-Nassr

Posted : 10 May 2023
If he accepts a contract offer from Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi, a standout player for Paris Saint-Germain, would allegedly make twice as much money as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, a renowned player for Portugal, just topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid sportsmen because to his absurd contract with Al-Nassr, which he signed in late December.

According to reports, the Gulf state is prepared to pay more than twice this sum to reunite Messi with his fierce opponent.

According to the source, Messi has a two-year contract on the table in the Middle East and has received an offer from a team in the Saudi Pro League, most likely Al-Hilal, for €500 million (£434 million/$548 million) each season.

The most recent data confirms Saudi Arabia's intense interest, which has grown tremendously in recent weeks. Barcelona had been the early front-runners to recruit Messi when his deal with Paris Saint-Germain expired in the summer.

However, a transfer to the Gulf state has gained momentum as a result of their financial difficulties and the Saudis' extravagant riches, and rumours on Tuesday even indicated it was a "done deal."

However, Messi's father and agent Jorge have subsequently denied these allegations, with possible roadblocks including family members' hesitation possibly playing a part. Despite the absurd sums being offered for the Argentina star, sources claim that Messi won't decide until the end of the current campaign.
