Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates central defender Olisa Ndah has expressed his openness to moving to a European club if a suitable offer arises. The 26-year-old has established himself as a key player in Orlando Pirates' defense since transferring from Nigeria Professional Football League's Akwa United in 2021.
Ndah, who previously played for Remo Stars, has been a crucial part of the Pirates' defense, helping the team secure the MTN 8 League Cup in consecutive seasons at the Orlando Stadium. His impressive performances have garnered attention, with links to the Italian club Sassuolo emerging last season. However, no official bid was made, and the move did not materialize.
Despite this, Ndah remains optimistic about the prospect of a future move to Europe, believing that consistent high-level performances could open up opportunities. He has expressed satisfaction with his current situation at Orlando Pirates but is receptive to the possibility of playing in Europe if the right offer comes along.
“I am content with where I am, but I am open to new opportunities if they arise,” Ndah stated in an interview with Goal. His willingness to explore European opportunities reflects his ambition and confidence in his abilities.
Ndah began his professional career in the Nigeria Professional Football League with Remo Stars, where he signed a two-year contract in the 2018/2019 season. He later moved to Akwa United, where he won the League title before joining Orlando Pirates.
Since his transfer to Orlando Pirates in 2021, Ndah has continued to make significant contributions on the field. His strong performances in South Africa have solidified his reputation as a reliable central defender.
As he continues to impress with his current club, Ndah remains hopeful that a move to Europe could be on the horizon, should the right opportunity present itself.
