Santiago Gimenez, the forward for Mexico, has been awarded the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Mark of a Fighter Award presented by Modelo for his remarkable fighting spirit displayed during Mexico's 1-0 victory over Panama in the 2023 Gold Cup Final.
 
Gimenez's defining moment came in the 88th minute of the Final on Sunday when he received a pass from Orbelin Pineda, skillfully maneuvered around a Panamanian defender, and fearlessly charged towards the goal before delivering a precise left-footed finish. His goal secured Mexico's ninth Gold Cup crown, marking a moment of triumph for the team.
