Salah's goal keeps Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive

In order to move one point behind Manchester United in the battle for the top four, Mohamed Salah scored again as Liverpool defeated Brentford to make it six straight victories in the Premier League.
The Egyptian attacker scored his 100th goal for the Reds at Anfield, becoming the only player in Reds history to do it in nine straight home games.
Salah's effort in the 13th minute, which came after Virgil van Dijk's cushioned header over the six-yard box, was hardly the most spectacular goal of his career.
However, his 30th goal of the year gave Jurgen Klopp's team the spark they needed to secure another significant victory, maintaining Liverpool's slim chances of making the Champions League for the next season.
Liverpool has 62 points, one fewer than fourth-placed Manchester United, who has two games remaining, one of which is on Sunday against struggling West Ham.
Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford believed he had tied the score at Anfield, but the video assistance referee (VAR) ruled it out for offside. Cody Gakpo then squandered a fantastic opportunity to make it 2-0 after the interval from point-blank range.
