Salah Senses Something Different as Liverpool Extend Lead at the Top

Mohamed Salah believes there's something different about Liverpool's performances this season as they continue to lead the Premier League. After a 3-1 comeback win over Leicester City, which moved them seven points clear, Salah expressed optimism, despite knowing the challenges the club has faced in similar situations before.

 

Leicester took an unexpected lead early, with Jordan Ayew scoring in the sixth minute, but goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and Salah ensured Liverpool secured the win. This victory has solidified Liverpool as title contenders, although memories of their 2018-19 season, where they faltered despite a strong lead, still linger.

 

Salah emphasized the importance of staying humble and avoiding injuries, acknowledging that past setbacks have hindered their title challenge. With 16 goals to his name, he expressed his desire to win the Premier League for Liverpool, a dream he's held for a long time. Next, Liverpool will face West Ham United before hosting Manchester United on January 5.
