Rotherham United recently unveiled their list of retained and released players for the 2023-2024 season on their official website.
The club disclosed that eleven players would be departing, with an additional five loanees returning to their respective parent clubs.
Among those leaving is Tolaji Bola, a product of Arsenal's Hale End Academy, who is set to embark on a new chapter in his career after joining Rotherham United in August 2021.
Bola, who spent thirteen years with Arsenal, made a move to Rotherham United in search of regular first-team action, having previously joined League One side Burton Albion on loan during the January transfer window.
Primarily a fullback, Bola leaves Rotherham United after making nineteen appearances across various competitions and providing three assists.
Another notable departure is Femi Seriki, a Nigerian defender who returned to his parent club Sheffield United after a loan spell at Rotherham United, during which he featured in ten Championship matches.
Despite the departures, Rotherham United has retained twelve first-team players for the upcoming 2024-2025 season, including Hakeem Odoffin, who has caught the eye of the Super Eagles selectors.
Odoffin, who delivered an impressive performance in the previous season, scoring four goals in thirty-eight league appearances, remains a key figure in the club's plans moving forward.
