Rivers United FC on Sunday fired blank in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 18 against relegation-threatened Nasarawa United FC.
The tense match at the Lafia City Stadium saw the Solid Miners take an early lead, courtesy of John Joshua’s brilliant strike to beat Osagie Onisodumeya.
However, the away side responded just after halftime, as Kabir Abdullahi drew them level from the penalty spot.
Despite their attempts to take the lead, Rivers United were unable to score again and had to settle for a point, extending their winless run away from home to five games.
With the result, Remo Stars are now back on top of the table with 33 points from 18 games.
However, they are tied with Rivers United on points and are only ahead of the "Pride of Rivers" on goal difference.
