The management of Rivers Angels FC has taken note of the post-match interview given by Coach Dadeino Herman, Technical Adviser of Adamawa Queens, in which she made spurious allegations against the club.
Coach Herman's claim that Rivers Angels "used the referees" to gain an advantage in the match is baseless and unacceptable.
However, the management of Rivers Angels finds her rhetoric inflammatory.
"We find it ironic that she acknowledged the quality of our players, yet chose to shift the focus to unfounded allegations.
"Furthermore, her accusations against the match commissioner and the center referee are serious and deserve attention from the league body.
"However, we insist that such allegations should not be used as a smokescreen to divert attention from the actual outcome of the match.
"As a reputable club, Rivers Angels will not stand by and watch as our image is tarnished by baseless claims.
"We urge the league body to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action.
"We remain committed to the values of fair play and sportsmanship, and we will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity in our pursuit of excellence."
