Fulham's central defender, Tosin Adarabioyo, expresses his delight at starting in the Premier League for the first time since the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season. Prior to facing Nottingham Forest, the Manchester City academy graduate hadn't started a game in the top-flight since May 28 against Manchester United.
Tosin secured a starting position against Nottingham Forest, partnering with Super Eagles star Calvin Bassey in Fulham's defense. This season, the 26-year-old has faced limited playing time, featuring in only three out of eighteen possible appearances across all competitions due to a groin injury that required surgery. Additionally, there were speculations about his future at Fulham, with previous links to Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco during the summer transfer window. However, a proposed move to Monaco fell through on deadline day due to Fulham's lack of a replacement.
Upon his return to the starting lineup, Tosin impressed, contributing to goalkeeper Bernd Leno's first clean sheet since September 23. Writing on X, Tosin expressed, "Back like I never left."
Against Nottingham Forest, Tosin excelled with four aerial duels won, one tackle, one interception, two clearances, and an 87.1 percent accuracy in his passes.
