Nigeria's representative at the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League, Remo Stars on Friday announced the arrival of former Nasarawa United defender Victor Collins who completed his move to join Remo Stars on a free transfer ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 football season.
Collins, left footed centre back, was signed on a one-year deal with the Ikenne based club till the end of next season.
Collins featured in all Nasarawa United games during the 2022/23 season when he joined the club from Iraqi super league side Amanat Baghdad FC before the commencement of the second stanza of the season.
He made nine appearances for the solid miners scoring goal one in their away 2-2 draw against Akwa United in a match 12 encounter in Uyo.
The defender will be returning to Remo Stars for a second spell after he last played for the Daniel Ogunmodede side during the 2020/21 Nigeria National League (NNL) season and also helped the team to gain promotion to the NPFL that same season.
Collins will be expecting to make his first debut and to maintain Remo Stars solid defence, the take on NPFL Champions Enyimba Int’l, in the Naija Super 8 tournament, Group A encounter on Friday, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
