Remo Stars poised to have handful Sporting Lagos FC in Remo Stadium
Posted : 23 October 2023
Still basking in the euphoria of their away win against Bayelsa United, Remo Stars will be eager to break the unbeaten record of the newly promoted side Sporting Lagos when both sides meet at the Ikenne Stadium for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 4.
Remo Stars' goalkeeper, Bankole, hopes to return to the starting lineup after sitting out the last game. Eyes will also be on Adams Olamilekan, who stole the show in Bayelsa against the homers on Matchday 3 of the NPFL.
The Lagos-based Sporting Lagos FC will want to regain their scoring prowess, and eyes will be on the former league top scorer Junior Lokosa to deliver.
Sporting Lagos FC have yet to lose any match, but surprisingly played a scoreless draw against rampaging Doma United FC in front of the vociferous Lagos fans on Matchday 3 of the NPFL.
Another high point is that the Sunday big game schedule is also a Southwest derby for both teams, who will want to assert their superiority.
Head-to-head
This is the first season of Sporting Lagos FC in the top flight of football, while both sides have met in other competitions.
Prediction
Remo Stars to win.
