Remo Stars FC's goal poacher expresses delight over win against Sporting Lagos FC

Sikiru Alimi, the goal-scoring sensation of Remo Stars FC based in Ikenne, expressed his joy regarding the victory over Sporting Lagos FC on Match Day 4 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
 
During an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the Southwest derby, Alimi highlighted the significance of the victory for the team.
 
As a reminder, Alimi was the one who found the back of the net, securing the winning goal in the closely contested match at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne.
 
The tall forward refrained from considering the game as a rivalry, focusing more on its outcome.
 
He remarked, "The win holds great importance because it's a South West derby, a new one. The newcomers arrived with a lot to prove, and it was an extremely intense game; I credit them for that. I wouldn't necessarily label it as a rivalry right now. We all recognize it as a new club making its debut in the NPFL and striving to compete with the established teams. However, it could potentially evolve into a rivalry if this level of competition is maintained over the coming years."
 
Remo Stars will face Enyimba International in their upcoming league match.
