Remo Stars ends season with emphatic win over Kwara Utd FC in Ikenne

Remo Stars were emphatic in their victory at the last fixtures of the 2022/2023 Abridged Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season with a 4-0 thrashing of Kwara United FC in Ikenne.

Although it was with all expectations that the Sky Blue side will defeat the Afonja Warlord, yet an emphatic 4-0 win is one of the highest records in the league.

Remo Stars had already  raced to a three-goal lead in the opening 15 minutes, and scored again to end the match 4-0.

Remo Stars netted first-half goals through Andy Okpe, Seun Odunsi and Philip Odubia’s brace secured them a win to the Super 6 race in Ibadan.

The Sky Blue club were third on the log before the last season's match against Kwara United FC with 30 points from 17 matches, but they were able to leapfrog Enyimba International FC to second position when the later secured just a point against hard fighting Shooting Stars FC.

For the season, Remo Stars played 18 games won 9 games, drew six and lost three.
