Remo Star academy player joins top Brazilian clubside

Remo Stars highly rated youngster Shola Ogundana has completed a move to Brazilian giants Flamengo on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent.

Ogundana plays for the Remo Stars Academy, Beyond Limits FA.

He was in action as they knocked out their senior team in the Ogun State FA Cup.

Flamengo scouted the 18-year-old attacker during the Viarregio Cup 2022, a traditional grassroots tournament held annually in Tuscany, Italy.

Flamengo’s scouts were impressed by Shola’s performance in the Viarregio Cup and decided to send a scout to Nigeria to watch him play again.

After the observation, Flamengo concluded the signing of the talented striker for their U-20 team, as per Globo.

The talented winger becomes the second player from the Remo Stars to complete a high-profile switch this season after Ebenezer Akinsanmiro was signed by Inter-Milan.
