Reiss Nelson Scored in Injury Time to Give Arsenal A 3-2 Victory Over Bournemouth
Posted : 04 April 2023
Reiss Nelson scored for Arsenal after Thomas Partey and Ben White had put Bournemouth up 2-0. Philip Billing had given Arsenal the lead after only nine seconds, and Marcos Senesi doubled it after the break.
Reiss Nelson was Arsenal's hero as his 97th-minute goal against Bournemouth helped the team overcome an incredible deficit of 2-0.
Mikel Arteta's team held 80% of the ball during play and had 30 total shots on goal against the squad in danger of being demoted, but Marco Senesi's header from a corner prevented them from scoring.
However, the Arsenal team was not deterred and scored twice in the next seven minutes to tie the score. Both goals were scored unexpectedly, as White finished Nelson's cross and Partey finished Emile Smith Rowe's header at the back post. In the rankings, the Gunners maintained their five-point lead.
