Fidelis Ilechukwu of Rangers International has confirmed that the club will recruit new players for next season's CAF Champions League.
The Flying Antelopes were crowned winners of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the New Jos Stadium, Jos, with a game to spare. They then proceeded to defeat Gombe United 2-1 in the last league encounter of the season, amassing a total of seventy points.
At the ceremony, Ilechukwu dedicated the team's league triumph to the Enugu State Government and the club's fans.
With this victory and the trophy presentation, Rangers have extended their league triumphs to eight and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season with the aim of reaching the final.
An elated Ilechukwu then said, "This is a great day for all of us at Rangers, and we give glory to God. This victory is for the government and people of Enugu State who supported us through thick and thin until we became champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
"We aim to strengthen the squad with a few new additions to challenge for both domestic and continental honors effectively next season," he added regarding preparations for the lucrative CAF Champions League.
