Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior expresses desire to return to Flamengo in the future.
After concluding the European season with Real Madrid, Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior took a brief break from football and attended the Flamengo-Vasco da Gama derby at the Maracana stadium.
 
 During the halftime break, he was presented with a jersey from both teams, symbolizing his time at Flamengo, and expressed his intention to return to his former club "one day."
 
 “It’ll take a while, but I will be back one day (to Flamengo). Very happy to be here at Maracana, at Flamengo and at a classic. Very happy for everything they did for me. That I can stand firm to continue the fight for those to come," he said.
 
Following a distressing incident of racial abuse faced by Vinicius during Real Madrid's match against Valencia, Brazilian clubs Flamengo and Cruzeiro displayed their support in a powerful gesture.
 
In their Serie A clash, both teams entered the field wearing t-shirts with an anti-racism message and proceeded to sit down for the first 36 seconds of the game.
 
Furthermore, Flamengo players wore jerseys throughout the match that read "All with Vinicius Jr," demonstrating their solidarity with the talented forward.
