Real Madrid secured a 2-0 victory over Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabeu, securing their second place in La Liga

Real Madrid bounced back to winning ways with a convincing triumph over Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu. Their unbeaten run was halted by Atletico Madrid, but goals from Brahim Diaz and Joselu propelled them to second place in La Liga.
Carlo Ancelotti's squad asserted dominance in the first half, but it took until the third minute of added time for Brahim's deflected strike to ripple the top corner of the net. Joselu's precise header in the 54th minute sealed the victory.
Madrid made significant changes from their Atletico defeat, including resting Jude Bellingham. They could have secured a more substantial margin if not for Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Valles, who made seven remarkable saves in the first half.
However, Valles was unable to deny Brahim when Lucas Vazquez found him, and he struck the ball home from 12 yards, marking his first league goal for the club. This goal eased Los Blancos' tension after a frustratingly wasteful opening half.
Nine minutes into the second half, Joselu doubled the lead with a perfectly timed run to meet Rodrygo's left-wing cross and flick it past Valles into the far corner. Ancelotti made substitutions, giving Bellingham and Luke Modric a rest while bringing on the fit-again Vinicius Jr for his first appearance since late August.
In the surprising turn of events, Girona leads the pack in Spain, as they came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Villarreal, marking their sixth win in seven games.
