Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says he will continue in that position
Posted : 20 May 2023
The club has informed Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti that he will remain in his position, according to Ancelotti.
The Italian, who has been mentioned as a potential candidate to coach Brazil, also stated that he wants to see out the remainder of his contract with the Spanish team.
Everyone is quite aware of Ancelotti's current situation: He has a contract that runs until the 2024 season, and he wants to stay.
Ancelotti responded, "Yes," when asked if Real had guaranteed him a place to stay.
After leaving Everton in June 2021 for his second managerial position, Ancelotti led the Bernabeu club for two years between 2013 and 2015, departing a year after he had won the Champions League.
Last season, under his leadership, Real won the Spanish league and a record-tying 14th European Cup, but they have fallen short of similar heights this year.
Real are 14 points behind Barcelona, the newly crowned La Liga champions, with four games remaining after they were soundly defeated by Manchester City in the Champions League semifinals.
With Real during the current season, Ancelotti has won the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Copa del Rey.
