Real Madrid forward seeks Valencia court rescheduling for racist abuse case

Vinícius Júnior, the forward for Real Madrid, has reportedly requested a Valencia court to reschedule his testimony in a racist abuse case due to being on holiday.
Vinícius, who is a victim in the case, was initially scheduled to testify via video conference on Tuesday.
The case involves three individuals accused of racially abusing the Brazilian player during a Spanish league game against Valencia on May 21.
Vinícius, 22, is currently on vacation in Miami, Florida, and the court will need to make a decision regarding his request for a rescheduled testimony. Last month, a court in Valencia initiated an investigation into the alleged racist incident.
During the game, play was halted for 10 minutes as Vinícius pointed out the individuals who were abusing him in the stands of the Mestalla stadium.
Two of the three individuals identified by Vinícius, as well as by security cameras at the stadium, have already given their testimony in front of a judge.
The final individual is scheduled to testify on July 11. Valencia has banned all three fans for life from their stadium in response to the incident.
LaLiga has also filed formal complaints regarding the insults against Vinícius, although some of them have been shelved.
The racist abuse suffered by Vinícius in LaLiga is unfortunately not an isolated incident, and the incident at the Mestalla stadium drew widespread attention and condemnation from government officials in Spain and around the world.
