Real Madrid eyes Bayern's Jamal Musiala as backup plan if Mbappe deal falls through

Real Madrid is reportedly considering Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala as an alternative target if their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe falls through. Musiala, the 20-year-old former Chelsea academy player, is highly regarded by Carlo Ancelotti, but he has yet to sign a new contract with Bayern and is seeking a significant pay increase, currently earning £7 million annually. Manchester City has also shown interest in the playmaker, and Bayern is expected to demand a substantial fee for the young talent, who will be 21 next summer.
Real Madrid, however, appears to be keeping a spot open in their squad for the planned signing of Kylian Mbappe in the summer. Despite their need for attacking options, they will not make any January signings, as they are leaving room in the squad to accommodate Mbappe's potential arrival.
In other news, Manchester United is facing a battle to retain highly rated youngster Omari Forson, whose current contract expires at the end of the season. There has been overseas interest in the 19-year-old, and Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the situation.
Arsenal and Tottenham are considering moves for players from Real Sociedad. Brais Mendez has a release clause of around £52 million, with Tottenham rumored to be interested in making an offer for the 26-year-old in the winter. Martin Zubimendi, another Sociedad player, also has a similar release clause, and Arsenal has previously shown interest in him.
If both release clauses are triggered, Real Sociedad could potentially receive up to £104 million for the pair.
