The mercurial midfielder stated that the trophy would be resting in the Coal City at the end of the encounter.

"No doubt, Insurance is a great side and has been in fine form since the start of the season but we have our work cut out for us and that is to be crowned champions of the oldest club competition in the country for the 7th time in thirteen attempts.
"Motivations from the management coupled with self-motivation from every player in the team, as well as the determination to write our names in the sands of time shall propel us to get our targets right in the final match," stated the young midfielder.
Onyemaechi picked the game against Plateau United as the most challenging even as the other matches leading to the semi-final were equally tricky.
In a related development, the national chairman of Rangers International Supporters Club, Iloakazie Orji has assured the team that the supporters club would be hitting the Delta state capital of Asaba in huge numbers to drum the side to another win after the 2018 ‘Asaba Miracle’.
Iloakazie gave this assurance after watching the ‘Flying Antelopes’ navigate their way past a very difficult, Plateau United in a semi-final encounter of the 2023 edition of the NFF/TINGO Federation Cup match that happened in Ijebu-Ode.
"As a body, we are mobilizing seriously to storm Asaba to drum, sing, and clap our darling team to our 7th triumph in the oldest club competition in the country.
"With the performance we saw in Ijebu-Ode, I have the strong belief that we shall be champions again in Asaba by God’s grace," he said.
