Rangers International FC announces mid season break for players

Posted : 04 January 2025

The management of Rangers International FC, Enugu, has approved a one-week break for the players and officials of the team with immediate effect.

The Flying Antelopes, the defending champions, also expressed gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support in 2024 and urged them to give even more in 2025.

In a New Year message issued in Enugu, the General Manager of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku, thanked the club's coaches, players, and staff for their efforts and achievements in 2024.

Ezeaku extended his appreciation to Governor Peter Mbah for his constant support and belief in Rangers FC, which he credited as instrumental in the club's accomplishments and future aspirations.

He said, "The management also extends its deepest gratitude to the club’s sponsors and partners, including Afrinvest, Nortra Tractors, and all others who have been part of our journey to success.

"As we step into the New Year, we call on everyone—fans, sponsors, partners, influencers, and stakeholders—to join us with even greater commitment.

"Let us deepen our collaborations and support to make 2025 a landmark year for our beloved club, Rangers.

"Together, we can achieve more and keep the Rangers flag flying high across Africa and beyond."

The general manager reaffirmed the management's dedication to making Rangers a symbol of hope, resilience, and excellence.

"Let’s keep dreaming big, cheering loudly, and working hard to inspire the next generation of football greatness," he added.

The team, currently on a weeklong break, is scheduled to resume training for the second stanza of the 2024/2025 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season on Sunday, January 5.
