Rangers 2-2 Heart of Midlothian: Rangers scored two goals in the second half to secure a European place

Hearts "shouldn't be in this position," according to manager Steven Naismith, after a draw with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership left them needing to win the local derby to secure a spot in Europe.
In an effort to catch Aberdeen in third place, Lawrence Shankland handed the visitors an incredible lead in the opening minute. However, Rangers ultimately won the game.
Following lapses in defence, Todd Cantwell and Fashion Sakala scored goals either side of halftime as Rangers were poised to bid Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos, and Scott Arfield farewell at Ibrox.
However, missing out on third place, which would have guaranteed Celtic a spot in the European group stage and at least £4 million in prize money, is ultimately upsetting for the team.
"That is disappointing but the club were 11 points clear at one point and it shouldn't be in this position," Naismith said. "Since I came in we have tried to give ourselves as good a chance as we can.
"We have done that but when you are relying on others, that is not where you want to be, especially at a club like Hearts."
