Pundit identifies Tottenham Hotspur left-back Udogie as a standout prospect

Football analyst Scott Brown has praised Italian-born left-back of Nigerian heritage, Destiny Udogie, as a perfect fit for the Premier League, impressed by his initial performances for Tottenham Hotspur this season.

At 20 years old, Udogie had to wait a year for his Premier League debut due to a loan spell with Udinese in Serie A last season. Despite his youth, he has been preferred over more experienced players like Ben Davies and Ivan Perisic as the first-choice left-back under Ange Postecoglou.

Facing a tough challenge against Manchester United's Antony last weekend, Udogie played a role in containing the Brazilian forward before being replaced by Ben Davies.

Brown expressed his amazement at the performance of the Italy youth international, predicting a successful season for him in the Premier League. He believes Udogie's abilities make him well-suited for the league and that he could surprise those who were initially skeptical about his signing.

Udogie is anticipated to be part of the lineup when Tottenham faces Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday.
